Wi-Fi 6: Fastest Wi-Fi: How Fast it is?

WI-FI 6

WHAT IS Next Generation WI-FI 6?

The next generation wifi called wifi 6. latest WiFi connectivity standard that we will begin to see more and more devices and routers now that the Wi-Fi Alliance has opened its official certification program.

Wi-Fi 6 was formerly known as Wi-Fi 802.11ax, but recently the Wi-Fi Alliance decided to change the version numbers for a more readable method

Generational Wi-Fi :

Different levels of Wi-Fi has been coming from generations like Wi-Fi 4, Wi-Fi 5, and upcoming called Wi-Fi 6. As Devices are becoming more complicated, internet connections evolve. The process of delivering the wireless connections also get involved. Now a days most of the people are using Jio Fiber for fast Internet

Wi-Fi 6 was formerly known as Wi-Fi 802.11ax, but recently the Wi-Fi Alliance decided to change the version numbers for a more simple method.  Wi-Fi 1 (unofficial), would be the 802.11a standard. As Wi-Fi standards are harder to spell it with codes for an average person. It is harder to figure it out, so it merely named as

  • Wi-Fi 2 (unofficial), would be the 802.11b standard.
  • Wi-Fi 3 (unofficial), would be the 802.11g standard.
  • Wi-Fi 4 is the previous 802.11n standard
  • Wi-Fi 5 is the previous 802.11ac standard
  • Wi-Fi 6 was previously known as the 802.11ax standard.

How next version Wi-Fi 6 is fast?

We didn’t have the definitive answer for this but by overall refrain from the industry experts says that WI-FI 6 offers roughly 30% speed faster than that of Wi-Fi 5, maximum speeds up of 10Gbps

The actual number can be experience depends on the content, and the other important thing is that speed from your internet service provider is like a speed limit for your local internet network. To get Full speed of a Wi-fi 6, You need to connect to Wi-Fi 6 router’s extra gear, need a Faster plan of internet service provider (ISP).

More reach and coverage even in saturated spaces

As we see in the following table, WiFi 6 does not improve much the original link data speed that we have in the 802.11 ac standard. A stream goes from 433 Mbps in WiFi 5 to 600 Mbps in Wifi 6. Nor in the theoretical maximum data rate that we can achieve using 8 streams (160 MHz) there is a very large quantitative leap, since WiFi 6 rises up to 10 Gbps when with Wifi 5 the most we could get were about 7 Gbps.

The progress achieved is thanks, in part, to its 1024-QAM modulation, which allows more information per symbol to be sent in a given bandwidth than with previous WiFi protocols. This is especially interesting in highdensity scenarios of connections to a WiFi network, which is where the new standard expects to be able to increase by 4 times the average performance per user compared to the previous one.

The interest in the future WiFi 6 is not therefore in the maximum speed per device but in the global improvement that users will experience in increasingly common situations and where we want to have many devices connected to the same WiFi network, even at home. There will also be improvement in latency, which will be much less, and of course in security, being prepared to use WPA3.

How the next WiFi 6 achieves it is necessary to look for it in different technologies that releases or improves the 802.11 ax standard. Among them, the most relevant are OFDMA, MU-MIMO bidirectional or Color BSS.

Another essential feature of the new WiFi 6 is that, unlike WiFi 5 or 802.11 ac, the new standard can operate at both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. The current WiFi 5 can also do it, but in reality it does it ” taking ” the 2.4 GHz band of the 802.11 an protocol.
